IRIS on Digital
IRIS is Perth's new disability service provider, delivering a reading and information service to the print handicapped on free-to-air digital radio, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Perth service is provided by a dedicated team of volunteer readers, editors and presenters, and in collaboration with other radio reading services around the country operating on digital radio.
It is supported by the Federal Government as part of its commitment to media access and diversity.
Programs on IRIS
The IRIS Radio Reading service aims to provide Perth's print handicapped population with access to information that the rest of the population takes for granted.
The broadcast provides readings from newspapers, popular magazines and journals, covering a range of topics and special interests, and a selection of disability specific programs.
